Yarn: We recommend Bonbons in Beach or Nature (our 100% cotton variety packs) for the snowflakes, since each snowflake motif does not use up a lot of yarn.
Hook: Start with an E-4 (3.50 mm) or F-5 (3.75 mm) hook. Switch to a larger or smaller hook if you prefer your snowflake to be looser or denser.

Foundation ring: ch 6; join with sl st in first ch.
Rnd 1: ch 1 (counts as sc). 11 sc in ring; join with sl st in initial ch 1.
Rnd 2: ch 1 (counts as sc). *ch 7. Skip 1 sc and sc in next sc. Repeat from * 4 times. ch 7. Join with sl st in initial ch 1.
Rnd 3: *[5 sc, ch 2, 5 sc] in ch 7 space.** sl st in sc. Repeat from * 4 times, and from * to ** once more. Join with sl st in sl st.
Rnd 4: sl st in 5 sc, and in ch 2 point. ch 1 (counts as sc). ch 8, and sc in same ch 2 point to form loop. *ch 7. [sc, ch 8, sc] in next ch 2 point. Repeat from * 4 times. ch 7. Join with sl st in initial ch 1.
Rnd 5: sl st in ch 8 loop. ch 1 (counts as sc). 4 sc in same ch 8 loop. ch 2. 5 sc in same loop. *8 sc in next ch 7 space.** [5sc, ch 2, 5sc] in next ch 8 loop. Repeat from * 4 times, and from * to ** once more. Join with sl st in initial ch 1. Finish off; weave in ends.
